Session 1: Life of an Outbound Investment Featured Speaker: Stan Ruchelman, Esq and Bob Rinninsland, Esq. The Ruchelman Law Firm This seminar will demonstrate the many tax issues that arise when a U.S. company forms a foreign subsidiary. One area that will be discussed will be transfer pricing (what the U.S. parent and the foreign subsidiary charge each other for intercompany services or products). Both the U.S. and foreign tax authorities are interested in making sure that the intercompany prices are appropriate and are not used to avoid income taxes in either jurisdiction. The format will be a case study approach with attendee participation encouraged.
